You turned 5 months old yesterday.
For whatever reason moms react this way,
I'm already getting choked up thinking about you turning 6 months old.
Half a year is a big deal!
You haven't been at Aunt Maureen's house lately because
she just had your baby cousin Bree yesterday.
You and Bree are exactly 5 months apart.
You have been going to Tracy Shields house during the day
and hanging out w/ her son Nash.
You love it there! And she loves having you.
Yesterday we took you to the doctor because we thought you had an ear infection.
But the doctor said you couldn't look any healthier.
You now way 15 lbs. 1 oz.
You are the cutest!
Everyone always comments about how smiley you are.
You are still rolling over from your stomach to your back.
And you like to go from your back to your side and just hang out there for a while.
But you haven't quite rolled over completely from your back.
You are already playing Mozart and reading Shakespeare ;)
You sleep through the night sometimes and
other times you only wake up once...maybe twice.
Your hair is absolutely unruly. Everyone thinks it's the funniest thing.
And we often talk about how bald men everywhere would be so jealous when they saw you.
We ran into someone we know yesterday at the doctor's office and talking to you she said,
"Did you have a hat on?" And I replied, "Nope, it just looks this wild all the time."
You are starting to get interested in real food.
You sit at the dinner table with us and watch our every move.
But if we put food to your mouth you have absolutely no reaction. It's so funny!
You are still putting your feet in your mouth.
And lately we have been catching you putting the entire front half of your foot in there.
All the toes and everything.
You want to suck on everything.
Sometimes I think you are being sweet and
laying on my shoulder but then I take you off and
find that you have been sucking on my hair.
You suck on your blankets, your socks, your bibs, your toys, stuffed animals faces, etc.
EVERYTHING except a pacifier. You are not interested at all in a nunu.
You still like to be held outwards most of the time,
but lately you have been letting us put you over our shoulder.
When we put you in your carseat you cry and cry until we lift the carseat up.
I think you get excited about going places.
You actually love car rides, but you don't care for them at night.
All of this makes me think that you are extremely curious and
want to be on the go (just like your momma).
We are having so much fun with you!
