9 months old!

Porter, you turned 9 months old last Friday.

And this is what you look and act like right now...

 

 

So cute!

 

 

You are still scooting all over the place.

I think that you just have it down so well

that you don't think you need to crawl or walk.

And when you scoot,

you find EVERYTHING and put it in your mouth.

 

I miss you so much when I'm at work.

But you are having so much fun at Aunt Maureen's.

Especially this summer because you are there

with Jaxson, Bree, Lil Brent, Ethan & Riley.

 

You are so sweet with baby Bree.

You scoot over to her and grab her hand and laugh and laugh.

We are working on taming your hair.

It is getting so long.

You've been making the cutest faces lately.

You make this face all the time.

Especially when I'm trying to dig in your nose.

 

We took you swimming for the first time on Memorial Day.

I was so excited about it!

I knew you were going to love the water,

and you sure did!

You were kicking your legs like crazy

(like you always do) most of the time.

And the other time you would just relax in your float.

 

 

 

This is your new trick.

You like to make this noise all the time.

You even do it with your own hand.

We think it's the funniest thing.

 

You've been saying mamamamama for a long time.

And you also say dadadadadada.

But for the very first time on Friday, May 16th, 2014...

your Daddy went to see you during his lunch break...

and when he left you...

waved your little hand and said bye bye.

Gah! So exciting!

Baby in the Big Apple

Last Friday, we took a flight to the Big Apple

to go to this sweet lady's wedding.

At the airport in New Orleans, we met Lil Boosie.

Your EE had to get a picture w/ him...

even though she had no idea who he was.

 

 

It's something we will always remember though.

 

 

You were an awesome travel buddy.

Of course, we brought you lots of toys to play with,

but all you wanted was napkins, water bottles and the puke bag.

You were great on both flights :)

 

 

You were even good on the subway.

 

 

And strolling around the city.

This is how you like to ride in your stroller now.

With your legs propped up.

In fact, you like to prop your legs up a lot on everything...

your highchair, your bed, etc.

On this trip, we introduced you to more solid foods

like chopped up spaghetti and veggies.

You did so well picking it up and putting it in your mouth.

 



 

Of course, while we were in Chinatown we had to visit Baxter Street.

 

 

And the ring ceremony was held in Central Park

on an absolutely beautiful day.

 

It was just a quick weekend trip, and we came back on Monday.

We had a wonderful time!

Everyone around us constantly commented on

what a wonderful baby you are.

I have a feeling, there will be lots more traveling in our future.
