Just before Labor Day weekend,
Mommy had to go to training in Dallas.
I left on a Monday, and my three boys joined me on Thursday.
Yes, Daddy took both of you on the plan ALL BY HIMSELF.
Yes, Daddy took both of you on the plan ALL BY HIMSELF.
We stayed through the weekend with our good friends The Frosts.
We just love the Frost Family and were so glad
our boys could get to know them better.
We were a little concerned because Porter is usually very shy.
But he literally walked straight into the house
(without us because we were still in the driveway talking),
and went straight up stairs to play with the kids.
We were shocked! But he really took to Ben, who is just a year older.
He ended up sleeping in Ben's bunk beds with him.
I woke up the first morning wondering if Porter was awake,
and I was thinking he may have forgotten where he was and might be scared.
But then I heard Porter whistling (he just learned how to whistle),
and I looked over the balcony and there he was just chatting it up with Meghan and Ben.
Porter, you surprise us every day!
On Friday, Meghan and I took the boys to the library and to run errands
while Daddy stayed home to study and do some homework.
That evening we ate at the best BBQ place in McKinney.
On Saturday, we drove to Waco to visit Magnolia Market,
which is a very popular "celebrity" site right now because the show is on HGTV.
It was so cute and there was so much for the kids to do.
We went for a quick swim that night at their neighborhood pool.
On Sunday, we went to church and relaxed until dinner,
where we shared in a huge feast.
Then, we went for a long walk and lit sparklers in the backyard.
We were so sad to leave our friends on Monday,
but so thankful for their friendship.
Porter still talks about "Ben's house"
and we look forward to visiting them again.
