You're 8 months old!

Porter Jonathan, you are now 8 months old!
I'm not kidding. You turned 8 months on Wednesday.
And I can't believe it.
You are going to be one before we know it!

You are the sweetest right now.
You now have two teeth,
and your little body is working on a lot more.
You don't feel very good sometimes,
but that makes you very snuggly.
And mommy loves that.

Your little personality is really coming out.
You are a very good listener,
but you like to be heard too.
Especially when you are demanding something.
And you don't demand a lot.
So when you do, we try to listen.

You are a little pig.
You have never turned your nose up at anything.
You love all the food we give you.
And you even try to eat everything we eat.
I sware I think if I gave you a fork and a knife
and a steak and potato you would know what to do.
And when we are done feeding you,
you throw a miniature fit because it's over.

We just enjoyed a wonderful Easter.
The Easter bunny brought you a bathing suit and a book.
We can't wait to take you swimming!

You are such a happy baby in the mornings.
As soon as I get you out of your crib,
you throw yourself downwards demanding to eat.
When you're done, you are all smiles.

The Friday before Easter,
we stayed in New Orleans for the Crescent City Classic.
Your mom, dad and Aunt Amber ran the race,
while your Aunt Lauren and cousin Riley stayed with you.
It was your first time in the city and it was a lot of fun.

Thomas & Porter 4.6.14
You are becoming a lot more interactive.
Especially with Scout. She makes you laugh.

She doesn't pay much attention to you
unless you are getting attention from us.
She gets very jealous and wants to get between you and us.
And she starts to lick you all over. And you just laugh!

You still aren't crawling, but you are getting close.
You still do a very good job of getting around though.
Nothing is too far out of reach for you.

You amaze us every day.

And you make us very happy to be your Mommy & Daddy.

We love you, Porter!
